• Hello Everyone , welcome back to this week’s blog . It’s been a while since my last blog post. I’m back to share a new blog with you .

I’ve just returned from holidays with my husband and son and being away for that period of time has made me so reflective. There are different seasons that we go through in life and it is so important to discern the season you’re in and ask God for wisdom in that season. Seasons come and go, they are not meant to last forever but to teach us a lesson for life.

The book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 says ā€œ For everything there is a season, a time for ever activity under heavenā€. This is a very well known verse because the very essence of our existence comes in times and seasons. There was a time when you were born and there will be a time when you will die. I don’t mean to scare you but that is the truth of life. We really don’t have much time. Being away made me ponder on past seasons up until the point to where I am now. I wouldn’t be here had I not gone through seasons of heartbreak, pain, grief, healing, becoming, preparation and transition. We are so quick to want to get to the good parts in life not knowing the best parts are always in the in betweens. There you find renewed faith, strength and hope for tomorrow.

Seasons are not meant to break you, they are meant to birth something new in you. They are meant to shift you from where you are to where you are called to be. They are meant to teach you that God has made everything beautiful for his own time and although you may not be there you will eventually get there. If you don’t take the time to understand why God has you in a particular season you may miss the wisdom that was meant to be bestowed on you for the next. I’ve come to learn that there is no rushing the next best thing for you; it will be yours at the right time. Sometimes we don’t even know it but God is doing big favours for us without us realising it. At times I catch myself saying ā€œWow thank you God for holding that back for meā€ or even ā€œ Thank you God for the Not Yetā€. It’s a blessing to not be in a situation you are not prepared for yet.Ā

If you are in a season right now and you don’t fully understand, take the time to ask and seek God. Ask him what are you trying to teach me this season? What lesson am I meant to understand.Ā  Be intentional about it and approach him with careĀ  because he is an intentional God . He wouldn’t have you there for any reason. When you do find out ask for the wisdom to be carried through that season. It may not be easy but his Grace is always sufficient.

I pray that you alway find peace love and comfort šŸ«‚

    With love

  • Hello Everyone, welcome back to this week’s blog.

I’ve been reading the book of proverbs for the past few weeks and what I’ve learnt so far is how you speak about yourself truly matters. If I could take back every negative thing I’ve said about myself knowingly or unknowingly I would do it in a heart beat. The power of our tongue is such a powerful thing and I think we underestimate it a lot. Your words carry so much weight in the natural and in the spiritual. Your words can literally shape your identity and the course of your destiny. What people say about you, whether positive or negative, has the capacity to make you feel or think in that particular way.

When I discovered that my love language was words of affirmation I wasn’t surprised. I am the kind of person that likes to be affirmed in the truth of who I really am. So what you say about yourself truly matters. The Bible says that out of the abundance of your heart the mouth speaks. So whether you like it or not, what you store up in your heart will eventually come out of your mouth, it’s so important that good things come out. We have the power to speak life or death out of our mouths so why choose to speak death ignorantly when you can speak life .Ā

I’m sure that a lot of you may have daily affirmations that you speak over youself. You know what’s even better: daily affirmations of biblical truth . Here are some that I want you to start speaking over yourself if you haven’t already. I am adopted (Ephesians 1:5), I am accepted (Ephesian 1:6), I am forgiven(Ephesian 1:7), I am predestined (1:11), I am raised and seated in heavenly realm(Ephesian 2:10 ). I am called to eternal glory (1 Peter 5:10 ), I am more than a Conqueror (Romans 8:37) I am an overcomer (John 16:33), I am never forsaken (Hebrews 13:5 ).

God has made you who you are. Anything that has been said outside of that is not true. I encourage and challenge you to speak five of these truth over yourself daily and watch how God will transform your mind.Ā

Until next time , I pray that you will always find peace love and comfort.Ā

    With LoveĀ

  • Hello readers, welcome back to this week’s blog .

I’ve always wondered what it is like for someone to know you completely . I’m not talking about your parents, siblings or your partners. Yes they all know fractions of who we are but they don’t know you completely. They can’t read your thoughts , they don’t know what you have been through in the past, they may not know your present pursuits or  future endeavours, but God does .

The Bible says that even in the most utter seclusion, He formed us in our mother’s womb. Where no one saw us but Him, He knew us. When no one knew what we would be, He knew us. Before He formed us, He knew us. I find that so intriguing; before anyone else, it was You and I. It was God; He knew both You and I. You may be reading this and have had questions in your head like, “But no one truly gets me; no one understands what it feels like to be me; no one has been through this like me.” I want to tell you and encourage you that God does. He sees you and knows you completely.

I’m going to give you some biblical context. Before Jesus ever came we were all disconnected. The world was in sin and all we knew was our sinful nature and desires. We were disobedient and obeying the works of the enemy. But then God had mercy on us, sent his son Jesus Christ so that we would be redeemed and to make all things right. This same God who knew both you and I before anything ever was wanted to make right with the world so that he could pursue you.

You are never too far for God to reach you. You are never too lost for God to find you and you are never too broken for God to redeem you. Previously on the blog I shared about how God took me from a place of always wanting to seek validation from people , trying to fit in when I was never meant to. If you are reading this and you just want to be understood for who you truly are, try God. More than anything he wants to show you who you are in him. He wants to tell you that your his beloved, the apple of his eye the one that was worth dying for on the cross and the one that has purpose.

Trusting him outweighs any disappointment that you have been through. Yes trusting him requires faith in the unknown but what don’t you already know if not God.

So I want to invite you on this journey with him , this journey of love where love knows no bounds , this journey for intimacy where you can truly walk in the fullness of who you’re called to be , this journey of wholeness where you don’t have to prove your worth to anyone. I am on this journey and I am here to help anyway I can .

Before I go, I will be starting a female book club in the coming months discussing all things faith , marriage and motherhood. If you are interested please stay tuned to the blogs, subscribe , like share and tell a friend 😊

I pray that you always find peace comfort and love šŸ«‚

  • Hello readers , welcome to this weeks blog post .

This year I made a commitment to myself to be more intentional about my way of living, most especially my relationship with the Lord. Intentional living looks different to everyone. It can be about your belief systems , your moral values , your lifestyle and how you show up for people. It is the pursuit of making your life more meaningful  and less chaotic. It’s finding stillness and joy whilst navigating the demands of life.

My belief in Jesus Christ is non-negotiable. He is the one true God that I know and serve. Doing life without him does not seem realistic because I have made wanting to pursue and know him more part of my life. The mere act of wanting to acquire something or build something shows intentionality. That’s how I see my relationship with God.

Not only am I intentional about my relationship with God I am intentional about every aspect of my life because I do believe that God is in it and wants to help you and I negative those areas of your life .

Family has been so big for me this season especially as a transitioning new mom of a 10 month old. My life has changed so much in the past 10 months, coming to terms with the fact that someone is dependent on me is a big deal. For that reason my life has been more intentional than ever. Making sure that my son’s needs are met , ensuring that our environment is a safe space for both of us to thrive is something that I’m not careless about. This looks like routines and systems that allows him and I excel in our well being.

Marriage has also been a part of my life that has changed. This new season looks a lot different for my husband and I. We are so blessed to have our son in our lives but we can both admit that it has changed the quality of time we used to have with one another. The Bible speaks about your home being your first ministry above all , so making time for my husband and I is something  I am also intentional about. Our environment may not look the same but the action towards keeping our marriage ignited is something I know that pleases God. I have been married 3 years this year and one thing wifehood has taught me is that you reap what you sow and this is in marriage . Being there for my husband listening and engaging with him is what keeps our relationship growing. Marriage is not one sided, you quickly realise that dying to yourself daily is what makes you mature enough to understand the needs of your partner before yourself. By the help of the Holy Spirit I’ve learned that serving him is more important than being served.

Relationships have been something that has changed in different seasons of my life. As I have gotten older I have noticed that certain relationships only lasted for some season, other relationships I had outgrown and now I have found that the relationships I have are in alignment with the season that I am currently in. I think one of the hardest things is maturing and knowing you have to let go of something that no longer serves you. It takes intentionality and discernment to know what and who you need in the different seasons of life. I may be speaking about friendships but this also applies to every area be it family , work and business. God is truly in everything if you let him be. Even in the most difficult relationship he gives you Grace to navigate it well with integrity.

Before I let you go for this week I want to leave you with this scripture 1 Thessalonians 4:11 ā€œMake it your goal to live a quiet life, minding your own business and working with your hands, just as we instructed you before.ā€Ā

In every way that you live, aspire to lead a calm and peaceful life, a life of integrity and not compromise, a life that is well-balanced and not chaotic, a life that builds legacy and not insignificance. I pray you always find peace, comfort, and love in God šŸ«‚

  • Hello readers welcome back to this week’s blog post .

I’m the kind of person that likes to understand the full meaning of words. This weeks post I title it sacrificial love . Sacrificial love can also be termed Agape love which is a profound unselfish commitment to prioritise another persons needs wellbeing or salvation over one’s own comfort rights or desires. To me that’s a whole lot of Love. To unselfishly prioritise another person’s needs over your own, yeah that is Jesus to me. Don’t get me wrong I’m sure that we have all made some sacrifices for the person or people we love at some stage, but this is different. This is an act of love that is done without second guessing. A love that doesn’t look at their own needs or how it would benefit them but just loves unconditionally.

Can we just thank God for Jesus for a minute. Like wow. This is the kind of love that has died for us and would do it again and again to show us that we are loved by him. Since we’ve all celebrated valentines with our significant others or friends it made me dwell on how I give and receive true love. Love is an action word. It is something that has to be done to another. Biblical love is not envious, proud, or self seeking. The Bible says that we are to love our God first with our whole heart and mind, then love our neighbour as ourselves. To love God you have to love people. Even the most difficult people we are commanded to love in truth.

It’s no surprise that the first fruit of the spirit is love. When you love in truth the spirit of God who leads in all truth produces that fruit first and then loving becomes first nature to you. If you are someone that has never felt genuine true love I understand how hard it can be to give love, I’m here to remind you that the creator of the universe is deeply in love with you. His love does not require you to do anything but just receive it. His love is sincere, kind and thoughtful. His love is a safe place. I can testify to it because I experience his loving kindness daily . I see his love in how my husband loves me and leads our home , I see his love in my son’s smile, I see his love especially in his intentionality in the ordinary moments in my life.

We don’t deserve this kind of love but he gives it anyway. To me Jesus He is everything good that I would like to be. What a God!

I pray that you always find peace comfort and love in God šŸ«‚

  • Hello readers, Happy new year and welcome back to this week’s blog .

Apologies, I haven’t posted in the last few weeks. I had taken some time to pause, consecrate and surrender myself for the coming year to what God wants to do through me . I am back now šŸŽ‰ hoping to write to you guys every other Friday with faith filled insight and words of encouragement as you walk and grow in your identity and relationship with Jesus Christ.Ā

Previously I wrote about you and I being created with intention and I want to elaborate on that even more . Since before the beginning of time we were always predestined to be part of what God wants to do on the earth. Okay I know that sounds a lot because some of you may wonderĀ  what use or purpose IĀ  have when there’s like 8 billion people in the world. Plot twist I’ve come to tell you that there is a need for you and I in the kingdom of God. God did not send his only begotten so for you not to be used. In fact the minute God decided to send his son Jesus our purpose began through him. Jesus became the vehicle and is the reason that we are light today.Ā

The Word of God became flesh through Jesus ( John 1:1) and because of that we can rejoice with faith and hope that we too can be used by God. Now with that being said it starts with you. It starts with you knowing that God is a God of Love and he cares too much about you to have you thinking or feeling like you are not loved, seen or cared for. If he intrinsically made you and I to bring heaven on earth he is definitely mindful of us. He cares about the things that weigh heavy in your heart , your hopes and dreams. It is proven that his love for us cannot be separated by anything in this world (Romans 8:38).Ā

So I want to encourage you as you kick start your year, know that you are loved, seen and deeply cared for by the one who gave himself up for you and I to have life and purpose. He is so intentional about you. May you always find peace comfort and love šŸ«‚

  • Hello there and welcome back to this blog.

Did you know that God always had a plan for your life? no but seriously he did always had a plan for your life. You were created on purpose for a purpose. You were created with intention. In Genesis 1:26 I love that it says in the Bible ā€œ Then God said, ā€œLet us make human beings in our image, to be like us” (Genesis 1:26, NLT). You see the emphasis on ā€œGod saidā€ not man said or an angel said or Satan said but God said. It was his instruction and his command. You and I were always included in his plan since the beginning of time.

Some of you may feel like you don’t fit in or you don’t look like what you think you should look like right now in the season your in, but let me tell you that’s the beauty of your uniqueness. You were not created to fit into this world you were born to be set apart and that’s the truth. Jeremiah 1:5 tells us this.

Let me be real with you growing up as a young girl I always knew I was different but I always wanted to fit in and belong somewhere. When expressing my difference in the retrospectives of childhood friends that I had and growing up in my teen and adult years I always felt out of place. It was at a later stage in my adult life that I began to understand that my difference and uniqueness wasn’t a weird thing it was in fact God aligning my life to cater to what he had in mind for me.

In a fast paced world that we are living in where everything is constantly changing, it is so important to know who you are and whom you belong to. Before any title occupation or role you are God’s beloved child, a child of God that is your true identity and then everything else follows.  When you come to this realisation and understanding, you allow God to partner with you and mould you into the person you were always destined to be.

I pray that through these words that I have written God’s voice begins to be amplified in your heart. I pray that the Holy Spirit begins to work in you, changing your mindset and allowing your heart to be receptive to what he wants to do in your life. May you always find comfort, peace and love šŸ«‚
